I qualified as a veterinarian over thirty years ago and have spent my career working with dogs, cats, and the occasional exotic patient in small animal general practice. In that time I’ve seen how desperately pet owners want reliable information โ and how much of what they find online is vague, inaccurate, or written by people who have never treated an animal.
“Most pet content online is written by people who have never been in a consulting room. I wanted to change that โ one article at a time.”
Alongside clinical work, I’ve written for newspapers, consumer magazines, and the web for over twenty years. Writing for a non-specialist audience is a skill in its own right โ translating clinical knowledge into language that is accurate, accessible, and genuinely useful to the person reading it at midnight because their dog is acting strangely.
Vet Authored is the result of wanting to do both things properly: provide clinically sound content that is also genuinely readable, packaged in a way that helps other people build real businesses around it.
Jamie Holloway is a pseudonym used to keep this venture separate from an active veterinary practice. The clinical credentials and experience described are genuine.
